Changes are happening too quickly
I better type this since my thingy up top said there is a scheduled outage here. Anyhow I just got a call from my husband that he is hired at the Hawaii County police department. They are giving him two months to basically get his shit together to come up there. He wants us to go up there but basically I have a lot of stuff that will be unresolved in two months time. Things like our lease. Its up at the end of August. The kids school..which ends in early June. My female thing surgery thing which probably wont be totally finished within 2 months time. I didnt register for school because I have decided I will just wait for summer school because I didnt want to start missing classes because I couldn't walk or drive for a while due to the surgery thing. My job? I dont care about because I am still out on workmens comp. That will have to be settled with city and county when my doctor finally clears me. I can come back and forth if I needed to for that. I will still be getting paid until I am cleared. I am glad because I dont really want to go back to that shithole of a job. Working 16 hr days are just hard and then to have your work scrutinized by people who know less than you. Or you doing their work and them getting credit for it. One thing I am certain of I will never never never work for a police department again. This just left a bad taste in my mouth with this department. And the police department here is very quasi-military. After 14 years I just cant get used to having to call assholes Sir knowing that they fuck around with other people I work with or they try and hit on you. Everyone seems to be fare game there. I did get a call with the fire department on Hilo. Its a position to do their forensics. I really wanted a lower key job and applied for thier fire dispatch but I was told I was OVER QUALIFIED. But a captain called my house and seen all the experience I had and wanted to know if I would be interested. I said yes so at least I will have a job on the big island. Its with City of County of Hilo and I will probably be taking a pay cut but then I guess thats better than staying at home not getting paid. They just gotta do some back ground checks and interview me and polygraph me. I guess to see where my head is at. Its pretty much similair at what I am doing now but only dealing with fires and accelerants. No hurt or dead people. I think the medical examiner deals with that. I should be happy but I am just a little dazed right now. So many changes coming our way. I just want everthing to go smoothly. I hate moving. I just wanted to wait until our house was ready. Who knows..maybe all this will all take time to work out and I will be leaving in August anyhow. It took 8 months for me to get my job I have now from the time I applied for it. Maybe Hilo being more country and small town like will take longer. One can only hope
